The Riverside Pirates will take on the Bethel Bees at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Riverside and Benjamin Logan have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Saturday. The Pirates lost 10-4 to the Raiders. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Riverside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Dillon, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. Another was Emilee Robinson, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Bethel ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Tecumseh 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bees have posted since April 18, 2024.

Chloe Kerns was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over eight innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Kerns was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Bethel, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Riverside hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. However, it's not like Bethel struggles in that department as they've averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Riverside took their win against Bethel in their previous meeting on April 1st by a conclusive 14-0 score. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Bees have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
