Recap: Skyline Eagles vs. Highland Rams

Even though the Skyline Eagles have not done well against the Highland Rams recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Skyline managed a 49-43 victory over Highland. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Skyline.

Cami Groberg was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with nine rebounds and five blocks. Lauren Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.

When it comes to explaining why Highland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Danae Asiata. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That was a full 34.9% of Highland's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mele Giles, who scored 11 points.

Skyline's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Highland, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing West the next time they take the court. Skyline will head out to face West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Highland will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
