Volleyball Recap: Pearl Falls Despite Big Games from Taylar Walker and Bailey Chism

Pearl was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Saints when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-17, 25-16.

Pearl's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Bailey Chism, who had ten digs and four assists, and Taylar Walker, who had nine digs and six kills. Walker also posted an assist, marking her first of the season.

Pearl's loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Coming up, Pearl will be playing at home against Oak Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Newton County at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th.
