Football Recap: Chaffey Comes Up Short

Chaffey was the 22-20 winner over Fillmore when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell 21-14 to the Flashes on Friday.

Although Chaffey took the loss, they still got scores from Noah Stewart and Alexis Almeida.

Fillmore got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jasiah Patterson out in front who rushed for 132 yards while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Those 132 rushing yards gave Patterson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Alamillo, who rushed for 37 yards and one TD.

Chaffey's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fillmore, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Chaffey has already played their next game, a 41-6 victory against Heritage on the 4th. As for Fillmore, they will head out on the road to take on Buena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
