Basketball Recap: West Carroll Takes a Loss

West Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Humboldt Vikings and fell 85-24. While losing is never fun, the War Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while the Vikings are ranked 89th).

West Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Humboldt, they pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Carroll will welcome Clarksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. West Carroll is facing Clarksburg at the right time seeing as Clarksburg is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Humboldt, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Middleton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Humboldt knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Middleton likes a good challenge.
