Baseball Recap: Winchester Comes Up Short

Winchester lost against Reading Memorial back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red & Black came up short against the Rockets, falling 9-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red & Black have suffered against the Rockets since June 21, 2021.

This is the second loss in a row for Winchester and nudges their season record down to 12-7. As for Reading Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winchester will venture away from home to square off against Belmont at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reading Memorial, they will face off against Lynn Classical at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
