Baseball Recap: Grainger Takes a Loss

Grainger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 13-8 to the Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans. The Grizzlies were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Connor May was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs.

Grainger's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
