Basketball Game Preview: Hope Blue Wave vs. Achievement First Providence Falcons

The Hope Blue Wave will face off against the Achievement First Providence Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hope knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Achievement First Providence likes a good challenge.

Last Monday, Hope didn't have quite enough to beat Paul Cuffee and fell 61-58.

Meanwhile, Achievement First Providence narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past St. Patrick Academy 46-44.

Hope better keep an eye on Stephen Adedire. He was instrumental in Achievement First Providence's win, putting up 17 points. The dominant performance gave Adedire a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Stone, who posted nine points.

Hope has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Achievement First Providence, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
