Spotswood is 8-2 against Rockbridge County since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Trailblazers will face off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. This will be Spotswood's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Last Wednesday, Spotswood came up short against Wilson Memorial and fell 7-3.

Rockbridge County not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2024. They put the hurt on Parry McCluer with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Fighting Blues recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Sadie Moore was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Moore was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Rockbridge County let Page Wright and Bella Dorey run wild. Wright scored three runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4, while Dorey scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Gabby Brown, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Rockbridge County's record now sits at 2-0. As for Spotswood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything went Spotswood's way against Rockbridge County in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Spotswood made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trailblazers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
