Basketball Game Preview: Affton Cougars vs. Hancock Tigers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Affton Cougars challenge the Hancock Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday... The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Affton and six for Hancock.

Affton lost 71-46 to Pacific on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Hancock came up short against Valley Park on Tuesday, falling 60-37. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 535th, while the Hawks are ranked 193rd).

Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Affton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Everything went Affton's way against Hancock when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as Affton made off with a 55-29 win. Will Affton repeat their success, or does Hancock have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
