Cheyenne Mountain is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Lutheran a 1-0 shutout. The result kept Cheyenne Mountain happy, as they haven't lost a game since September 23rd.

Meanwhile, Evergreen had just enough and edged out Montbello 1-0 on Wednesday. Given Evergreen's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Montbello are ranked 85th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cheyenne Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-4-4 record this season. As for Evergreen, their win bumped their record up to 12-4-1.
