Baseball Recap: Blacklick Valley's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Blacklick Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Purchase Line Red Dragons. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Collin Nedrich, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Ethan Luko also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Blacklick Valley's record is now 3-1. As for Purchase Line, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Coming up, Blacklick Valley will welcome North Star at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Purchase Line, they will face off against Harmony Area at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
