Preview: Camden County Bruins vs. Holmes Aces
Camden County is on a three-game streak of home losses, Holmes a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Camden County Bruins will take on the Holmes Aces at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
On Friday, Camden County ended up a good deal behind Hertford County and lost 51-36. Camden County has struggled against Hertford County recently, as their match on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Holmes lost to First Flight on the road by a decisive 39-24 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, Holmes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while First Flight is ranked 117th).
Camden County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Holmes, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.
Camden County was dealt a bruising 64-33 defeat at the hands of Holmes in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Holmes' Kate Foster, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds.
