After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Anna-Jonesboro, Carterville was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Pinckneyville Panthers with a sharp 15-3 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Parker Poole, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Haiden Lange, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Carterville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Carterville's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Pinckneyville, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Looking ahead, Carterville will take on Trico at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pioneers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pinckneyville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Murphysboro at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
