Basketball Recap: Northside Takes a Loss

Northside lost against Veterans back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Northside Eagles took a blow against the Veterans Warhawks, falling 52-20. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Warhawks are ranked 94th).

Northside has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Veterans, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside will square off against Lee County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee County will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Northside surely won't give up without a fight. As for Veterans, they will host Tift County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Veterans is facing Tift County at the right time seeing as Tift County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
