Softball Recap: Urbana Takes a Loss

Urbana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-5 to the Cedarville Indians, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Urbana got a big performance out of Lola Rice, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Rice also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jazmyn Scott, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Urbana's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. Cedarville has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cedarville beat Urbana by a score of 13-6 later that day.
