Basketball Recap: Capital Wins Going Away Against Los Alamos

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rio Rancho, Capital was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Los Alamos Hilltoppers as the Capital Jaguars made off with a 66-41 win. That's more bragging rights for the Jaguars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory snapped Capital's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-8 record. As for Los Alamos, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Capital will challenge Albuquerque Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Albuquerque Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Capital surely won't give up without a fight. As for Los Alamos, they will take on Lovington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lovington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.5 points per game this season.
