Preview: Bloomfield Bobcats vs. Artesia Bulldogs
The Bloomfield Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Artesia Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Bloomfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Bloomfield came up short against Piedra Vista and fell 41-30. Bloomfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Bloomfield got a solid performance out of Andrew Florez, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Belen scored an imposing 59 points on Saturday, Artesia still came out on top. Artesia walked away with a 68-59 win over Belen. The win made it back-to-back wins for Artesia.
Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Artesia, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Bloomfield was dealt a bruising 67-38 loss at the hands of Artesia in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Bloomfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
