Soccer Game Preview: Perry vs. Tuscarawas Valley

The Perry Panthers will head out to face off against the Tuscarawas Valley Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Perry's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Green.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Tuscarawas Valley made sure to put some goals up on the board against Carrollton on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over the Warriors. Tuscarawas Valley haven't had any issues with Carrollton recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Tuscarawas Valley hit Carrollton with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hayden Cox (2), Luke Salapack (2), Joey Cox, and Ezra Kuharich.

Tuscarawas Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-7-3. As for Perry, their win bumped their record up to 8-4-3.

Perry beat Tuscarawas Valley by a goal when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
