Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fairfield). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton Bearcats 56-12. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mules also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
It was another big night for Michael Barner, who rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also picked up 54 receiving yards and a pair of scores. He has become a key player for Fairfield: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Cooper Berg helped out on the ground, rushing for 103 yards.
