Basketball Recap: South Gate Takes a Loss

South Gate was the 60-56 winner over Huntington Park when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The South Gate Rams fell to the Huntington Park Spartans 55-50. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Huntington Park, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Gate won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Artesia at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Artesia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season. As for Huntington Park, they will host Banning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
