Baseball Recap: Chiles Has No Trouble Against Gulf Breeze

Chiles extended their postseason success on Thursday against Gulf Breeze. They blew past the Dolphins 13-4. This was a revenge game for the Timberwolves: when they faced off against the Dolphins on Wednesday, they had to take a 5-4 defeat.

Chiles got a massive performance out of Colby Tadder, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave Tadder a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Ritchie, who went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Chiles was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Chiles' win bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Gulf Breeze, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season.

Chiles will have a chance to go back-to-back against Gulf Breeze: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
