After each having a week off, the Treasure Coast Titans and the Atlantic Eagles will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Treasure Coast has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Atlantic will arrive with five straight victories.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 50-6, which was the final score in Treasure Coast's tilt against West Boca Raton last Friday. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Bulls are ranked seventh).
Meanwhile, Atlantic made easy work of Norland two weeks ago and carried off a 43-20 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four contests by 23 points or more so far this season.
Atlantic's win came from a few key players Treasure Coast will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Pedro Martinez, who rushed for 127 yards and one TD on only 13 carries, and also threw for 81 yards and one touchdown. Those 127 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Omari St.Fort, who rushed for 89 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries.
Atlantic was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 167 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.
Atlantic's defense made their presence known, laying out Kai Moore three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jamir Johnson, Zayvion Hayes, and Jvon Hatcher, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Atlantic's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Treasure Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
Treasure Coast was dealt a bruising 47-9 defeat at the hands of Atlantic in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Titans, Lincoln Graf (who threw for 195 yards and four TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground) won't be suiting up this time.
