Cary Christian was the 4-3 winner over Wake Christian Academy when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell 9-6 to the Bulldogs on Thursday. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jacob Reeves was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jackson Hill, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Cary Christian's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Wake Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Cary Christian will head out on the road to face off against Durham Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wake Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against St. David's at 6:30 p.m.
