Basketball Recap: Pontiac Find Success

Pontiac posted their closest victory since January 10, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-38 win over the Prairie Central Hawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 62-61 back in December of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Pontiac and bumps their season record up to 7-12. As for Prairie Central, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Pontiac wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-42 loss against Normal West on the 25th. As for Prairie Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-36 defeat against St. Joseph-Ogden on the 25th.
