Baseball Recap: Hamilton Southeastern Comes Up Short

Hamilton Southeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-1 to the Brownsburg Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Thursday.

Josh Lesniewksi was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.

At the plate, Maddux Bach was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with four stolen bases. Trey McManama also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Hamilton Southeastern now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Brownsburg, the win keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton Southeastern will host Pendleton Heights at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Royals will need to watch out since the Arabians have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Brownsburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Varsity Opponent at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
