Basketball Recap: Paris Finds Home Court Redemption Against Bluegrass United

There's no place like home for Paris, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Bluegrass United Bluehawks by a score of 75-65 on Monday. For the Greyhounds, this counts as revenge for the 57-46 victory the Bluehawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.

Bluegrass United's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Stiefel, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards. The game was Stiefel's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Everett Pieratt was another key player, going 6 for 15 on his way to 22 points and six rebounds.

The win got Paris back to even at 3-3. As for Bluegrass United, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Paris won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Nicholas County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bluegrass United, they will head out to face off against Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
