Volleyball Recap: Florence/Henry Starts Season with Loss at Home

Florence/Henry unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Redfield Pheasants on Tuesday. The Falcons were not able to make up for their loss to the Pheasants from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Florence/Henry ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 21-25, 25-22, 25-17.

Redfield found their leader in sophomore Katryn Evans, who had 29 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendyl Siebrecht, who had 17 digs.

Florence/Henry and Redfield will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Falcons are set to challenge their familiar foe Great Plains Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Redfield will take on rival Roncalli at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
