Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Leadership Tigers vs. Boyd Yellowjackets

The Trinity Leadership Tigers will face off against the Boyd Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Leadership is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Trinity Leadership after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of UME Preparatory Academy.

Jaxson Frost was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Daunte ` Mitchell was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Boyd fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Liberty Christian on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trinity Leadership's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-13-1. As for Boyd, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-5.
