Basketball Recap: Wakefield Comes Up Short

Wakefield lost against Blue Valley back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wakefield Bombers took a blow against the Blue Valley Rams, falling 78-16. The Bombers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Wakefield lost, don't look at Kingsley Smith. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Smith is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last six games he's played.

Wakefield's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Blue Valley, they pushed their record up to 6-4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Wakefield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-47 defeat against Canton-Galva on the 1st. Blue Valley has also already played their next game (against Doniphan West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
