Baseball Game Preview: Beaverton Beavers vs. Aloha Warriors

For the second straight game, Beaverton will face off against Aloha. The Beavers will be playing at home against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Beaverton and Aloha, and Aloha kept the tradition alive. The Beavers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday.

For Aloha's part, Hayden Grot spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits. Grot has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Aloha's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Achillies Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Aloha has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Beaverton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
