Volleyball Recap: Bunker Hill Comes Up Short

Bunker Hill lost against Alton back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Minutemen might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-0 to the Redbirds, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Minutemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bunker Hill may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 18 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18.

Bunker Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Alton, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-19.

Coming up, Bunker Hill will square off against Father McGivney Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Alton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Granite City on the 22nd.
