Basketball Recap: Chaffey Extends Winning Streak to Four

Chaffey entered their tilt with Charter Oak on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 55-42 win over the Charter Oak Chargers. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 583rd, while the Chargers are ranked 1178th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chaffey has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Charter Oak, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Chaffey is taking a road trip to square off against Western Christian at 3:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Chaffey knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Western Christian likes a good challenge. As for Charter Oak, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wilson at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
