Recap: Ruidoso Warriors vs. Loving Falcons
Even though the Loving Falcons scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, the Ruidoso Warriors still came out on top. Ruidoso walked away with a 63-56 win over Loving. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ruidoso.
Logan Sandoval continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 26 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. The match was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kacey Blaylock, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Loving's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Giovanni Ruiz, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Cameron Allen was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Loving were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ruidoso only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.
Ruidoso now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Loving, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Ruidoso will head out on the road to face off against Tularosa at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Tularosa is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Loving's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hagerman at 1:00 p.m. on December 15th.
