After a string of four wins, Lewis County's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Summertown Eagles by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since April 5, 2024.

Taya Tiller was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Lewis County's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Summertown, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3-1 record this season.

Lewis County will look to defend their home field on Monday against Richland at 6:00 p.m. As for Summertown, they will head out to take on Lawrence County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
