Volleyball Recap: Cairo Bradford Key Part of Team Effort in Wasps Win

There's no place like home for Juab, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Wasps, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-10, 23-25, 25-14.

Juab got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cairo Bradford out in front who had 23 digs and four assists. Bradford is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 17 or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Heap, who had 25 assists and seven digs.

The victory snapped Juab's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record. As for Juan Diego Catholic, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Juab didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against South Summit on the 26th. As for Juan Diego Catholic, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jordan at 6:30 p.m. on September 2.
