Basketball Recap: IC Imagine Triumphs

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only IC Imagine walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy Eagles 34-32. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Kingfishers have posted since December 12, 2024.

Audrey Jones had another great game (as she tends to do), dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 14 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Raegan Myers, who posted ten points and six steals.

IC Imagine smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy only pulled down eight offensive rebounds.

Despite the loss, Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Anna Cox dropped a double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds.

IC Imagine is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points on average over those games. As for Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

Coming up, IC Imagine will take on Quality Education Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
