If Hancock wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Paw Paw, they should've done a better job of containing Donavan Tanouye. Everything went the Paw Paw Pirates' way against the Hancock Panthers on Saturday as the Paw Paw Pirates made off with a 74-52 win thanks in part to Tanouye, who dropped a double-double with 34 points and 17 boards. The match was his 14th in a row with at least 16 points.

Another player making a difference was Taylor Carder, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 boards gave him a new career-high.

Hancock's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Anderson, who posted 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Hill, who had 11 points and five boards.

Paw Paw's record now sits at 7-14. As for Hancock, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paw Paw will welcome Bishop Walsh at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hancock, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Maryland School for the Deaf at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hancock is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.6 points per game this season.
