Breanna Rowland was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaityln Baumann, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Bristol came out on top against East on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run first inning. The Panthers blew past East 18-6. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Kyler Kennedy, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sammy Mansfield, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Grand Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Bristol, their win bumped their record up to 10-7-1.
Bristol's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Grand Valley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game.
