Soccer Game Preview: Picayune vs. Hattiesburg

Picayune hasn't had much luck against Hattiesburg recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Picayune Maroon Tide will challenge the Hattiesburg Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Hattiesburg took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Picayune, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Picayune finally turned things around against Pearl River Central on Friday. They beat the Blue Devils by a goal, winning 2-1.

Meanwhile, Hattiesburg has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They fell just short of Terry by a score of 4-3 on Friday.

Hattiesburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-2. As for Picayune, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5.

Picayune beat Hattiesburg 2-0 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Will Picayune repeat their success, or does Hattiesburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
