Softball Recap: Coosa Eagles vs. Gordon Lee Trojans
Coosa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They came up short against the Gordon Lee Trojans, falling 17-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 8-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2015.
Coosa's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Gordon Lee, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coosa will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Dade County at 5:30 p.m. Dade County will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Coosa surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gordon Lee, they will venture away from home to face off against Christian Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gordon Lee's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so Christian Heritage's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
