Preview: St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs vs. Kennedy Eagles
After four games on the road, St. Vincent de Paul is heading back home. They will take on the Kennedy Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, St. Vincent de Paul really took it to Maria Carrillo for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-14 win on the road. With St. Vincent de Paul ahead 28-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
St. Vincent de Paul relied on the efforts of Jack Davis, who gained 138 total yards and three touchdowns, and Gabe Casanovas, who rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Casanovas was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards. St. Vincent de Paul also got a significant boost from Mason Caturegli, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.
Meanwhile, Kennedy never let their opponents score two weeks ago. Everything went their way against Richmond as Kennedy made off with a 20-0 win.
St. Vincent de Paul is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Kennedy, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
