Basketball Recap: Lake Brantley Falls Despite Big Games from Alana Taylor and Maddie Woodrow

Lake Brantley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Windermere Wolverines. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 45-33 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lake Brantley's loss came despite strong showings from Maddie Woodrow and Alana Taylor. Woodrow posted ten points, while Taylor earned nine points. Those ten points gave Woodrow a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Olivia White, who put up five points.

Lake Brantley's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Windermere, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Lake Brantley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Oviedo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Brantley is facing Oviedo at the right time seeing as Oviedo is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Windermere, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Cypress Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cypress Creek will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Windermere surely won't give up without a fight.
