Softball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Tri-City Christian's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Tri-City Christian put the hurt on Santa Fe Christian with a sharp 9-0 win. Considering Tri-City Christian has won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Marissa Chronic made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. Chronic was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Tri-City Christian got a big performance out of Abby Lisak, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Olivia Hernandez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Tri-City Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Fe Christian only posted a batting average of .250.

Tri-City Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Fe Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Tri-City Christian nor Santa Fe Christian have any future games scheduled.
