Klein Collins took Klein Oak into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The final score came out to 25-22, 20-25, 20-25, 26-24, 15-10.
Despite their defeat, Klein Collins saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Avery Guinn, who had ten digs and 21 assists, was perhaps the best of all. Guinn is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 11 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Even though they lost, Klein Collins kept the net locked down and finished the game with 12 blocks. That's the most blocks they've posted since back in October of 2023.
Meanwhile, everything went Magnolia's way against Klein Forest on Friday as Magnolia made off with a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Klein Collins' loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Magnolia, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.
