For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Crete-Monee and Thornwood meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Thunderbirds with a sharp 22-9 win. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Thunderbirds on Wednesday, they had to take a 19-10 loss.
Crete-Monee let Ariana Kovacs and Taleeana Ramirez run wild. Kovacs got on base in all five of her plate appearances with six RBI, four runs, and two triples, while Ramirez got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, five runs, and three RBI. What's more, Ramirez posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Mariah Henson also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
