Volleyball Recap: South Gwinnett Finds Home Court Redemption Against Cristo Rey Atlanta + How To Watch

There's no place like home for South Gwinnett, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against Cristo Rey Atlanta by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

While South Gwinnett won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-22.

Cydni Walker paced South Gwinnett's offense, picking up five kills. Walker got some help from Blessing Onyeanula and her eight assists. Onyeanula was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

South Gwinnett's victory bumped their record up to 9-20. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Gwinnett will square off against Walker at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, they will face off against Fulton Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
