It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Berkeley Prep had no problem doing just that  on Monday. They walked away with  a   4-1  win over the Carrollwood Day Patriots. The  victory was familiar territory for the Buccaneers, who have now won three  contests in a row.
Carrollwood Day's batters probably weren't too happy with  Rivers Kurland, who pitched a no hitter  and racked up eight Ks (he gave up zero walks). Kurland has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in 12 consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Josh Herrmann, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Jett Walters, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  run.
 Berkeley Prep  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carrollwood Day struck out eight times.
Berkeley Prep's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 22-8. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Carrollwood Day, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 17-9.
Berkeley Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
