Volleyball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends Glenelg Country's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Glenelg Country unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Gerstell Academy. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Dragons haven't been shut out since back in September.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 25-12.

Despite the defeat, Glenelg Country saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Eva Smith had eight digs and two aces.

Glenelg Country's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. As for Gerstell Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Glenelg Country will be playing at home against John Carroll at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Gerstell Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
