Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jayden Brown and Brody Degarmo Lead Andover Central to Victory

Andover Central won the last time they faced Goddard and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Andover Central Jaguars came out on top against the Goddard Lions by a score of 52-43. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Lions are ranked 250th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Andover Central was led to victory by Brody DeGarmo and Jayden Brown. DeGarmo went 8 for 12 on his way to 18 points and five boards, while Brown went 6 of 12 en route to 14 points. The dominant performance gave DeGarmo a new career-high in points.

Andover Central's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Goddard, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Andover Central will host Newton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Goddard, they are taking a road trip to face off against Arkansas City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Goddard is facing Arkansas City at the right time seeing as Arkansas City is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
